The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
- 2 Corinthians 13:14

Believers in Christ

We are believers in the Lord Jesus Christ who have personally received Him as our Savior. He is the most excellent and enjoyable Person.

Scripture-Focused

We highly treasure the Holy Bible as God’s revelation of Himself and of His eternal purpose. We hold the common faith revealed in the Bible.

Growing in Faith

We invite you to join us in pursuing Christ and growing together in faith and love. We love Him and endeavor to give Him the first place in all things

Our Beliefs

We hold the faith which is common to all the believers:

The Bible

The Bible is the complete divine revelation inspired word by word by God through the Holy Spirit.

“For no prophecy was ever borne by the will of man, but men spoke from God while being borne by the Holy Spirit.” – 2 Peter 1:21

“All Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for conviction, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,” – 2 Timothy 3:16

God is uniquely one, yet triune

God is uniquely one, yet triune — the Father, the Son, and the Spirit.

“Go therefore and disciple all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” – Matthew 28:19

“For there is one God and one Mediator of God and men, the man Christ Jesus,” – 1 Timothy 2:5a

The Son of God

The Son of God, even God Himself, was incarnated to be a man by the name of Jesus Christ.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” – John 1:1

“And the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us (and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only Begotten from the Father), full of grace and reality.” – John 1:14

Christ died for our sins

Christ died on the cross for our sins, shedding His blood for our redemption.

“Who Himself bore up pour sins in His body on the tree, in order that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness; by whose bruise you were healed.” – 1 Peter 2:24

“In whom we have redemption through His blood,” – Ephesians 1:7a

The Lord’s Day bread-breaking meeting

The Lord’s Day bread-breaking meeting is of profound significance to a Christian because it is the only meeting that was established by the Lord when He was on earth. The Bible records in Matthew 26:26-28 that on the night before His crucifixion, after taking the feast of the Passover with His disciples, Jesus instituted the Lord’s table with the bread and the cup.
He blessed the bread, broke it and gave it to the disciples to eat, saying that this is His body. Then He took the cup, gave thanks, and gave it to the disciples to drink, saying that this is the blood of the new covenant, which is being poured out for many for forgiveness of sins.
The Lord also charged the disciples to do this unto the remembrance of Him.
The church in Richmond has consistently followed the Lord’s instruction in having the bread-breaking meeting every Lord’s Day.
